About Jane Shull Beasley |
As a child, I drew with a pencil. As a commercial art student at the University
of Idaho, I explored other media. My study of costume design at Emerson
College in Boston, began my professional art career as a teacher and designer
of costume for the legitimate theater. My husband's career moved me to
Montana in 1954 changed my career to motherhood, commission art work in pencil,
pen, acrylic and the enchanting world of stoneware clay. My love of nature
is shared with my feathered and furry friends…capturing a nuance, a mood in
painting, illustration, clay sculpture or relief. I am fortunate in having
my work in homes, galleries, businesses and trade throughout the U.S.
After the pleasure of raising seven wonderful children and my husband's retirement,
the reality of a home-studio in the woods by a creek, shared with my feathered
and furry friends, did happen. Located only a few miles from Helena, Montana
and nestled in the foothills of the Continental Divide…the bond of artist and
nature have taken shape.
